LCS Spring 2023 after the Regular Season

And with that, the Regular Season of the LCS Spring Split is over. What a crazy last 2 weeks; especially the last day of the split where we saw 8 total games (including 3 tiebreakers).

Summary of pre-season vs actual vs first half vs second half:

  • Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, and Dignitas has some lofty expectations coming into the season and they were not able to live up to it

  • Other the other hand, Counter Logic Gaming, Golden Guardians, and TSM had little to no expectations and were able to perform quite well

  • C9 has been the most consistent team going 7-2 in both halves

  • 100 Thieves and Counter Logic Gaming had strong second halves which catapulted them up into 3rd and 4th respectively

  • While FlyQuest and Evil Geniuses have been in a rough patch to end the split and they've dropped down to 2nd and 5th

  • Golden Guardians lost 4 of their last 5 including a 0-3 Super Week to squeak into playoffs as the 6th seed
