Season 2 saw the Overwatch League expand from 12 teams to 20 teams, which increased the player pools from a potential 144 players to 240 players. Talent from Season 1 spread across to a few of the expansions teams as well as a group of fresh talent from all over the world. With so many teams and each team only playing 7 games per stage, it was expected that there would be parody. 15 out of the 20 teams had between 3-5 wins. 2 teams went undefeated, Vancouver Titans, and New York Excelsior, while only 1 team went win-less, Los Angeles Valiant. The stage playoffs now have a different format with 8 teams qualifying and so it will take 3 wins in a weekend to claim the Stage Championship. Everyone will be gunning for Vancouver and New York to upset their undefeated streaks.
