Group C saw kt Rolster come out firing with a 3-0 start, while EDward Gaming kept the LPL hype train going with a solid 2-1 week, while Team Liquid disappointed at 1-2 and MAD Team looked lost at 0-3. KT opened the day by beating up on TL. EDG and TL followed that up with a couple of quick games against MAD. This left KT at 4 wins, EDG at 3 wins, and TL at 2 wins. The next game was EDG and KT, where EDG's Ray brought out the Urgot which proved to be too much. EDG had given KT their first loss and officially eliminated TL from contention. The next game felt very subdued as TL and EDG knew their fate, but TL were still able to save some face by beating EDG and finishing 3-3. KT had the simple task of beating MAD to secure the 1st seed and there was no doubt from start to finish.
KT rolled to 1st seed at 5-1 with their only loss coming to EDG, while EDG look strong at 4-2. TL go a respectable 3-3, but are still disappointed to not advance from the group stage and MAD were spectators at 0-6.
