In Group A, you have no undefeated teams and no winless teams, so every team truly believes they could still finish 1st or 2nd in the group. G2 surprised everyone by b eating Flash Wolves and Afreeca, but losing to Phong Vu. Afreeca struggled and only got their 1st win against Phong Vu in the last match.
In Group B, you have RnG as the clear favourites at 3-0 and then all other teams at 1-3. Cloud9 and Vitality have been explosive in their games, while Gen.G look a little lost, but they were all able to pick up a win against each other.
In Group C, there is a clear split between all teams with kt Rolster on top at 3-0. Edward Gaming continued their strong play from play-ins to finish at 2-1, while Team Liquid struggled at 1-2 and Mad Team are the weakest and could go 0-6.
In Group D, its a similar story as Invictus Gaming as easily at 3-0, while Fnatic look strong at 2-1. 100 Thieves are hanging in there are 1-2 while G-Rex looked out matched at 0-3.
With the format changing to all group matches being played on a single day, momentum and fortitude play a major role in determining who gets out of groups. An early loss could derail your chances while an early win could be the start of a miraculous run. 16 teams fight for 8 spots in the quarterfinals.
