NA LCS Regular Season

The final standings below were created by combining the results up to Week 8 and then taking my predictions for Week 9 in my last post. This split has been a roller coaster ride as no team has been super consistent. Teams like Echo Fox and Cloud 9 started super hot and were looking like runaways for the top seeds, but now have fallen back down. 100 Thieves, Clutch Gaming and Team Liquid have always been in the middle of the pack, not separating themselves from either the top or the bottom playoff teams. Team Solo Mid struggled early and have been on a good run in recent weeks that they are a dangerous team going into playoffs. All of this inconsistency has lead to a final standings where all the playoff teams are separated by a single game and there are actually two 3-way ties for 1st and 4th. I believe the first tie-breaking criteria is head to head matches which should lead to no tie-breaker matches being required.

EF = 100T (1-1), EF > C9 (2-0)

100T = EF (1-1), 100T = C9 (1-1)

C9 < EF (0-2), C9 = 100T (1-1)

TL > CG (2-0), TL = TSM (1-1)

CG < TL (0-2), CG > TSM (2-0)

TSM = TL (1-1), TSM < CG (0-2)

This would result in Echo Fox and 100 Thieves with playoff byes straight into the semi-finals. Then you would have Cloud9 vs TSM in the 3rd/6th match and Team Liquid vs Clutch Gaming in the 4th/5th match.
