The NA LCS Summer Split has been a roller coaster of events and emotions. We've seen teams change up their roster every other week. We've seen our first mid-season trade between 2 NA LCS teams. We've seen parody galore due to the randomness of the meta, more so than the actual skill level of the teams. And after 9 games, where every team has played each other once, nothing is certain, other than we will most likely have some crazy tiebreaker scenarios at the end of the regular season. Surprisingly, we only have 1 team right now in 1st place and that is 100 Thieves at 6-3. They just took down Echo Fox in the 9th game and have been finding their stride even with the Meteos-Anda trade. Next at 5-4 are 5 teams all tied in 2nd-6th place. Counter Logic Gaming, Echo Fox, and Team Liquid were tied was 1st coming into Week 5, while FlyQuest and Golden Guardians were a game behind but they picked up a key win to stay close. In 7th-8th place are Team SoloMid and Clutch Gaming at 4-5 and have been on a bad run for a little while; both of which were Spring Split Playoff teams. Last but not least, we have 9th-10th place with Cloud9 and OpTic Gaming, who both picked up victories in the 9th game to keep their playoff chances alive. Cloud9 has been NA's more consistent performers at Worlds and it would be sad to see that run end especially if they didn't at least make it to the gauntlet to try to qualify for the 3rd and final spot at Worlds. My Summer Split Pre-Season Rankings had #1 Echo Fox, #2 100 Thieves, and #3 Team Liquid, so I will stick with this prediction and I believe these will be the 3 teams that represent North America at Worlds this year.
