Cloud9 end the first half of the split a perfect 9-0, but then they drop their first game in the second half to 100 Thieves. The 18-0 dream is done, which might be a good thing for Cloud9. Team Liquid cement themselves as 2nd best in the LCS with another 2-0. 100 Thieves step up and beat FlyQuest and Cloud9 to extend their win streak to 3. And Dignitas go from winless to beating Immortals and FlyQuest to go 2-0.
In a surprising turn of events, Team SoloMid, Evil Geniuses, and FlyQuest all go 0-2. Counter Logic Gaming, Golden Guardians, and Immortals pick up the upset wins to go 1-1. The NEW LCS Soup is now between 3rd place and 8th place with 2 games separating the 6 teams. Every one of these teams has been inconsistent at one point or another in the season. Top 6 has a huge advantage as they get double elimination in the Summer Playoffs, while 7th-8th start off in the loser's bracket.
