Cloud9, on the other hand, faced off against Golden Guardians, who are considered mini-C9 in terms of their playstyle. This meta has not been friendly to them and it showed once again as C9 fall to a rising GG. TSM came in with all the confidence, while C9 was sputtering and looking to find their footing. Once again, C9 could not get everything to work and fall for the 2nd time this week; their first 0-2 this year.
Joining TSM with a 2-0 week are Team Liquid, FlyQuest, and Golden Guardians. Team Liquid is now in the driver seat for 1st place, while Team SoloMid is now tied with Cloud9 in 2nd place. FlyQuest is also on a winning streak and sits only 1 game behind TSM and C9 in 4th place. Golden Guardians secure their spot in the middle ahead of Evil Geniuses, who went 0-2.
Counter Logic Gaming continue their slide and might fall out of the playoffs at this rate. Lucky for them Immortals beat Dignitas, so both teams sit 1 game behind them still. 100 Thieves pick up a win and guarantee their spot in the playoffs.
