My predictions didn't go exactly as planned. There weren't 5 teams that went 2-0 this week, but there were 3. And those 3 were Team Liquid (who secured 1st place), Cloud9 (who secured 2nd place), and FlyQuest (who secured 3rd place). Team SoloMid as a result of losing to Team Liquid end up in 4th place. Golden Guardians picked up another win to keep 5th place and Evil Geniuses edged out 100 Thieves for 6th place. 100 Thieves beat Evil Geniuses but lost to Dignitas, so they end up in 7th place and start off in the lower bracket for playoffs.
The last and final playoff spot came down to two teams: Counter Logic Gaming and Dignitas. CLG started off the season with an amazing 4-2 start, but have since gone 1-11. Dignitas, on the other hand, went winless in the first half, but have looked much better in the second half going 5-4. Both teams ended the season at 5-13 and had to play the only tiebreaker match for this split. It was a close match, but Dignitas come out victorious and make it into playoffs!
