Another week and we had Jensen, Smoothie, Sneaky, and MikeYeung in the Academy League once again. Team Liquid bounced back from their Week 1 upset against Golden Guardians by going 2-0 winning against Counter Logic Gaming and Team Solo Mid. Team Solo Mid were opposite and went 0-2 after losing against their arch rivals Clutch Gaming. Cloud9 also went 0-2 losing to the streaky Golden Guardians and 100 Thieves. With the poor Week 2 results, I wonder when we were see Jensen, Smoothie, Sneaky or MikeYeung back in the NA LCS. OpTic Gaming took down the last undefeated team Echo Fox, but then they lost a barn burner against the last winless team FlyQuest. After 2 weeks, we have no undefeated teams and no winless teams; 2 teams sit at 3-1, 6 teams sit at 2-2, and 2 other teams sit at 1-3. It seems like we are in for another super close split and parody across the league.
