NA LCS Week 4

Good parody or bad parody? After Week 4 of the NA LCS, we have 8 teams that are separated by 1 game, while the 2 other teams lag behind and are 2 games back from the pack.

The first match coming off of Rift Rivals was a pair of bottom teams in Cloud9 and FlyQuest. Cloud9's lineup has changed once again with Sneaky returning to partner with Zayzel in the bottom lane. The return paid off as Cloud9 took the victory over FlyQuest. Team Liquid came back from a lackluster Rift Rivals, but were able to handle Optic Gaming. Next up was Clutch Gaming and Golden Guardians, where the Guardians continued their hot play taking the win. A battle between a pair of 1st place teams saw 100Thieves battle Team SoloMid. 100Thieves showed no Rift Rivals hangover and defeated TSM. Echo Fox was the last of the Rift Rivals teams to play and with the other two already winning, Echo Fox were looking to keep up. They played against Counter Logic Gaming and Darshawn, who has almost a .500 record against Huni. In another bad performance from Huni, CLG took advantage and squashed Echo Fox.

Day 2 started off with a barn burning that was one of the longer games of this split between Optic and Clutch. The game ended in a base race where Clutch just had a bit more power and rushed the nexus down first. Counter Logic Gaming and Cloud9 were both looking to go 2-0 for the week, but the current skill gap showed with CLG winning from some big plays from newly turned NA resident Huni. Echo Fox and Team SoloMid needed a bounce back from Day 1 and it was TSM who fell as they loss to both 100T and EF this week. Whenever a tThievesbottom team face off against each other, an upset is just waiting to happen and this was the case when Team Liquid faced off against FlyQuest. Team Liquid showed their inconsistent play once again and FlyQuest were the beneficiaries. In the last game of the week, you have the upstart Golden Guardians and the 1st place 100 Thieves. Golden Guardians's Mickie finally showed off his high level carry potential and push his team into a battle for 1st place.

Top Risers: Counter Logic Gaming and Golden Guardians

Top Fallers: OpTic Gaming and Team SoloMid
