Stage 2 Week 1 brought a few exciting rematches of the Stage 1 Playoffs with Houston and New York getting their chance at revenge against London. Both of these matches went to an exciting 5 maps, where Houston got their revenge, while London showed New York that they still have their number. Dallas ended Stage 1 on a 2 match winning streak and they tried to carry that momentum into Stage 2. They were able to pull off a 2-0 week against two of the weaker teams in the league, Shanghai and Los Angeles Gladiators. Seoul also bounced back after missing out of the Stage 1 Playoffs and went 2-0. Philadelphia and Houston round out the other teams that went 2-0 in Week 1, while Boston surprisingly went 0-2 after finishing Stage 1 so strongly.
