We are 4 weeks into the Overwatch League and with Week 5 being the last week of Stage 1, there is still some uncertainty about which teams will play in Stage 1 Title Matches. London and New York are shoe-ins at 7-1, while Seoul has control of their fate at 6-2. With a bunch of teams at 5-3, Seoul needs to go 2-0 this week to secure their spot. So far, Seoul is the only team not to lose to any Western Teams as both of their losses came to the All Korean Teams of London and New York. I expect Seoul to come out extremely focused, going 2-0 and winning Stage 1 beating both London and New York.
After some hot and cold starts to the NA LCS, the league is stabilizing to what many analysts previously predicted. Echo Fox, Cloud9 and Team Liquid are looking strong at 5-1, while both TSM and CLG went 2-0 this week to improve their record to 3-3. The last team in the Top 6 is 100 Thieves at 4-2. It feels like there is very little separating each of these teams and any of them can win on any given day. It will be interesting to see how the standings look after a few more of these teams face off against each other.

Last but not least this weekend was Super Bowl 52 on Sunday night. You had the perennial favourites, New England Patriots, vs the underdog story of these playoffs, Philadelphia Eagles. Two very different quarterbacks in Tom Brady and Nick Foles leading their teams in what was one of the most exciting games of football I have ever watched. Both offenses were clicking and it felt like neither defense had any answers. There was no scoreless quarter by either team and I believe there was only 1 punt all game; it was the type of game fans loves but coaches hate. After finally taking the lead 33-32, it felt like New England had weathered the storm and were about to take control. Philadelphia answered right back, but they left time on the clock for known other than Tom Brady. I think I was still scarred from last year's ridiculous comeback that I wasn't fully confident in Philadelphia, but then their defense finally showed up and made a huge play with a sack, fumble and recovery. It now felt real that Philadelphia was going to do it and win the Super Bowl. After running down the clock to under a minute and kicking a field goal to make it an 8-point lead, Tom Brady had one last chance but it didn't feel the same. With no timeouts, their play calls were limited and they couldn't get into rhythm. There was one last chance on a hail mary, but it just wasn't meant to be. The ball was batted down and the underdogs had done it, winning a Super Bowl for the 1st time for the city of Philadelphia. FLY EAGLES FLY!
